In series 1 of Institutional Traits (2012), low quality digital images from employee photo identity cards are scanned, enlarged and re-presented as a series of portraits that reveal continuous interaction with the security system of the workplace. As the photo card is swiped, the image is increasingly erased.

Series 3 of Institutional Traits (2012) is a collection of scanned employee ID photo identity card images that have been almost completely obliterated. In these photo ID cards the image is rendered useless as a visual verifier of identity.
