| ‘I
placed myself into the frame of the research in order to explore the
analogies between control and discipline on my own body and that exerted
in institutional contexts’ (artist’s notes). The wall-wounds
were produced using a hinged device onto coloured and layered plaster
panels. The key stages of each wall-wound’s emergence were documented
in digital photographs. The aim was to find an equivalence between
the experience of the institutional site and the artist’s practice,
in order to critique both practice and the institutional context. |
